Pigato in the heart

We live in a landscape rich in biodiversity, characterised by aromatic herbs, sea breezes and limestone.
Vineyards are far from dominant here; they intertwine with everything else, growing with balance.
We work in them, carefully and respectfully, following their natural cycles along with those of the earth.
With a view to being part of the environment rather than exploiting it, we have chosen to employ organic farming methods.

THE ARROSCIA VALLEY

We make our wines in a small cellar in Ranzo, a little village in Western Liguria, with a resident population of just over 500, situated about twenty kilometres inland from the sea, near the first foothills of the Ligurian Alps.

The Arroscia Valley is our world, an ancient salt trail that climbs from the sea towards the mountains on the border.

The local farmers have always grown Pigato grapes.

This a wild territory, made up of terraces of olive trees and vineyards, drystone walls between steeply climbing woods and tightly winding roads.
