West of Liguria in the inland of Albenga in between the provinces of Imperia and Savona. Our winery is located in the Arroscia valley away from the touristic coast and the many condos of the Riviera. An ancient salt way, a state road that from the sea arrives in Piemonte through the mountains. This is how our territory is often described and mentioned by others. With calm, curiosity and willingness one can even smell the surrounding area of our land. Off the beaten path our territory shows a different, quieter Liguria: greenhouses, olive trees, vineyards, Mediterranean woods. Small towns like ours of Ranzo divided by many different little villages, each one with many stories to tell and few quiet inhabitants. Small different worlds suspended over the queen nature that still doesn’t know the disasters made by cement. The building space is very little, the steep hills with natural balconies of stones look like mountains, and the roads are narrow and curvy. In front of us the Maritime Alps like a wall with splinters, behind the sea that even if so close does not belong to us. From here we can’t see the sea, but we can smell it in the wind, we recognize it in the strong light, in its Mediterranean solar nature. Its presence like magic shapes the climate, the soil and its fruits.  NEXT
